repair cost DOES NOT INCLUDE costs for hardware parts that we may have to use.
Hopefully we have the parts you would need for a repair in stock. Presently we have
USB ports, cameras, WQLCD screens, microphones, GPS patch antenna's, shells,
barometer/altimeter, speakers and more in stock.
HAS YOUR EXPLORIST 510 - 610 - 710 GPS LOST SATELLITE RECEPTION? ARE YOU HAVING A "NO FF" ERROR AND NOT RECEIVING ANY SATELLITE INFORMATION. WE CAN REPAIR THIS PROBLEM!!
If you wish us to try to repair this the "NO FF" problem then please order a Service Ticket. As is our service policy if we cannot repair your unit we will refund the service charge less the Shipping and Handling to return the unit to you.

We are now seeing many complaints from users who have installed these versions. Apparently MAGELLAN is the guilty party for including these bad firmware versions in their VantagePoint automatic updates.
I guess the point is that if Magellan VantagePoint informs you of a new version the user assumes that the firmware is free of viruses, etc.
These releases are now starting to cause loss of the Satellite communications and other problems. We believe that the virus may be also tied into the timer of the GPS.
Some users have assumed that if you reload an older firmware version it will overwrite the bad firmware. NOT TRUE!!
The only way to return your GPS to normal and
remove the virus is to wipe out the bad version and reinstall an authorized new genuine
version.
Please be advised that overwriting an old backed up copy can cause a severe problem.
Many changes have taken place and your old backed copy CAN CAUSE an iBoot error. [Please read up on the iBoot problem in the Forum. An iBoot X10 CANNOT BE REPAIRED.]
For example, we can only tell you that a
significant change took place in Versions 6.53//6.52//6.51. Some customers backups
are so old that using an older backup copy created an iBoot GPS problem.
THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION IS FOR YOU TO LET US CLEAN
UP YOUR GPS. In order to eliminate the virus we have to reformat the GPS and

Our repair process will still retain your GPS
Serial Number so any maps you have will still be accepted by the GPS.
