WATCH OUT FOR GEOCACHES THAT ARE DIRTY .. YOU MUST CLEAN THEM.

We receive many Tritons that are reporting Internal Errors.  Most of the time, the units are being used for Geocaching.

Many users are simply loading geocache information and forgetting to strip the XML (Extended Markup Language) from the cache information that they are transferring to the GPS.

Please ALWAYS make sure that you're using an HTML (XML) stripper before you load any cache data into your GPS.

It is interesting to note that the new Magellan Communicator, which is actually written for the new Explorist GC is dangerous to use because it does not strip the bad code from the caches.

So if you are downloading GPX files, please run it through the stripper program named "Spoiler2gpx" or run it through GSAK with the Triton Macro that are posted on our website.

You will see many of your "Internal Errors" problems disappear.
